Kylie Jenner must’ve listened to her brother-in-law Kanye West and moved from PUMA on over to the Adidas brand. She is their new brand ambassador and has collaborated with them to create the Adidas Falcon sneaker. I’m not a huge Adidas fan but I actually see myself rocking Kylie Jenner’s sneaker with them (not because I’m a fan of hers). I love the colors and the style of the shoe – It’s not too dad like IMO.
Harper’s Bazaar recently unveiled their September 2018 “Icons” issue featuring celebs and their kids. The newsstand issue features Bruce Springsteen and his daughter while subscribers will receive the issue featuring Kanye West posing with his two oldest kids, North and Saint.
The rest of the “Icons” featured in the magazine include, Erykah Badu and two of her children, Lionel and Nicole Richie, and Christina Aguilera with her son and daughter. I am very family-oriented so I love seeing celeb families on magazine covers.
Luxury house Fendi celebrates the 10th Anniversary of it’s classic Peekaboo bag with campaign titled #MeAndMyPeekaboo. The latest ad stars three generations of Kardashian – Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, and North West.
The family can be seen lounging around in equestrian-chic outfits and Peekaboo bags. The idea behind Fendi’s ad campaigns are family, history, and families of women. Kris and her family are perfect for this campaign.
Off-White designer Virgil Abloh’s first ever Louis Vuitton show as the Artistic Director of Menswear took place on Thursday in Paris and was attended by all the cool kids (aka his celebrity friends).
The celeb attendees included models Bella Hadid and Naomi Campbell, as well as, Kim Kardashian West and hubby Kanye West. They all showed up rocking off-white or brightly hue-themed outfits to the show.
Virgil definitely stuck to his “off-white” roots for his first collection with Louis Vuitton:
Kim Kardashian West is being mommy shamed again… This time for doing what all moms do – allow their daughter’s to straighten their hair when they reach a certain milestone. That’s right, KKW is being shamed for allowing North West to step out with a straight ponytail on her 5th birthday Friday, June 15th.
I remember the first time I got my hair straightened (with a hot comb, before I gave into the creamy crack) it was for my 10th birthday and I begged my mom to let me wear it lose with a headband instead of in pigtails like a little girl. I was experiencing my rite of passage as black girl and so is Northie.
Recently, I took my curly-haired 4-year-old daughter to Milk and Cookies Kids Spa to get a braided hairstyle and in order for this to happen, the beautician had to wash, conditon, and then blow dry the hair straight so that it was easier to braid. My baby girl loved her hair straight and I would do it again when she’s much older because I love her curls. Selfish, I know…
Kim straightening North’s hair is no big deal to me because the girls in this family are known for their slick, straight, mermaid-like hair.
Let Northie enjoy being a 5-year-old and leave Kim alone! She’s doing what mommies do for their little girls. I would do the same!
